Tick Biography
Spacing Marc LENY received an Engineering Degree in Telecommunications from the Institut National des Télécommunications (GET/INT, Evry, France) and a Master of Engineering in Electronic Systems from Dublin City University (Dublin, Ireland) in September 2004. In September 2006, he then obtained a Research Master in Virtual Reality and Intelligent Systems from Université Evry Val d’Essonne (Evry, France). He is currently a Ph.D. student jointly in the ARTEMIS Department at TELECOM & Management SudParis, and in the Multimedia Processing Laboratory (MMP) of Thales Communications (Colombes, France).

Tick Research activities
Spacing His research interests include video compression standards (MPEG-2/4 and H.264) and their interoperability, automated video analysis in the raw and compressed domains, event and object descriptors, and semantic/by-example user requests. These various fields are explored within the framework of the European IST project Caretaker led by Thales Communications.
